Opuntia microdasys
Opuntia microdasys is commonly known as Bunny Ears Cactus;
Opuntia Microdasys Pallida also known as the bunny ear cactus because the pads resemble bunny ears hence the common name. The Opuntia Microdasys Pallida is low-maintenance and an excellent choice for anyone new to growing houseplants and thrives on neglect. The most important factor in keeping the bunny ear cactus happy and thriving is ensuring that it has enough sunlight and does not get overwatered.
Care Instructions:
Water: Water sparingly. Allow the soil to mostly dry out between watering, or water just a little once per week with rainwater or distilled water
Light: Keep situated in an area with bright indirect light.
Humidity: Low-humidity will thrive in average humidity levels.
Temperature: Keep at 20°C up to 30°C.
Toxic: While not toxic, it's tiny glochids can easily detach and become lodged in the skin, causing irritation and discomfort. It's best to keep this plant out of reach of curious children/pets to prevent any accidental injuries.
